Piano & theory lessons in northwest Airdrie, Alberta. I am a capable teacher that enjoys instructing students both young and mature. I am RCM Elementary and Intermediate Certified; Beginner to Grade 8 RCM.
My Story:
I've been teaching mostly piano and theory for almost 25 years now. I do teach beginner voice lessons as well.
I am married. My goal is to teach each of my students the joy of music. I want them to learn with excellence, but also love what they do. I use many different resources to that. Whether it is music they want to learn, games, activities and more, I use all these to help my students love learning the piano.
I am also a kidney transplant recipient as of Jan 2020. Although I am immune suppressed and it can make lessons a bit tricky during cold and flu season, I remain grateful for the transplant and for technology to keep my health and my piano studio full and vibrant!
I taught piano in NW Calgary for over 20 years, and in Nov 2020 we bought our first home in Airdrie.
I teach students in person and online of all ages. Preschool (age 4 +), Beginners at any age, even adults. All the way to Grade 8 RCM. My vocal background is not as extensive as my piano and theory background, but I have over 15 years of experience. I love to bring out that blended voice between the chest (low) and head (high) voice.
