I am very excited to let everyone know that we are moving!  We have considered all the current piano students and where they live.  Therefore our new home is located as close as we possibly can to all of the current students of Adamo Piano Studio.

This also means that Adamo Piano Studio will not be taking any more new students until the new school year in September.  But registration for September is starting May 1st.  If you have any inquiries of time open for September, please contact myself, Mrs. Jenn Higgins.

The winter session is almost over, and the spring session is about to begin.  Each student is diligently working towards their spring/summer performances and exams.

I am pleased to announce that we are currently full for our spring session.  This is very exciting!  I just want to remind our students that April – June Tuition is Due by March 23, 2012.  This date has been moved up, since the studio will be closed the week of March 24 – 31!  This is not just for public school students, but all students.  There will be NO lessons that week.

If you have not already let myself, Ms. Jenn, know that you are not continuing in April, the last day for Spring Sessions cancelation with full refund is March 18th.  If you are continuing, I am very exciting to teach each of my students.  I will keep everyone informed of the dates of the spring recital.  This year we are trying to have the recital in May.  Then we may have all of June for the exams students to prepare.

Weekly Update 2

I am very excited to announce that there has been a theory group class added.  It will be covering 2 exams; the Preliminary Rudiments Exam and the Basic Rudiments exam.  For the students who have done Preliminary already, you will get a good refresher until the Basic begins.  OR  You may begin the class starting on Fridays, March 4, 2011. Preliminary students will be reviewing their material with practice exams, and computer exercises from that point until their exam.

This is an intense course.  I expect for the participants of this course to do quite a bit of homework, and have it in before class.  This way, I am able to correct it for your class.  It also has extra homework to do over holidays, such as Teacher’s Convention, and Spring Break.  So be prepared to go through the material quickly.  And it will be a lot of fun!  We have flash cards, and computer time to help with each part of the material.  For my students who love theory as much as I do, get ready for some theory!  Yay!

Another reminder; the deadline for the May Theory Exams and the June Piano (practical) Exams is March 1, 2011.  For those taking practical exams, I suggest that you register for your exam as soon as possible, so that you may still be able to pick your own times.  If you are doing both theory and practical exams, don’t forget to register for both exams.
